American Supercars

American super cars are very influenced by european supercars. The most obvious example would be the Saleen S7 which is based on the McLaren F1. Saleen are produced in several parts of America as they also specialize in modified American Muscle cars. McLaren is a german company owned by Mercedes, a German company. The McLaren F1 was formerly the fastest street legal production car in the world, holding this record from 1994 to 2005. Althoough owned by a German company it was engineered, produced and founded as a British Group that, among others, owns the McLaren Mercedes Formula One team.

Lamborghini....
Automobili Lamborghini, commonly referred to as Lamborghini, is an Italian manufacturer of sports cars, based in the small Italian village of Sant'Agata Bolognese, near Bologna Which is also in the region of modena. The company was founded in 1963 by businessman Ferruccio Lamborghini, who owned a successful tractor factory, Lamborghini Trattori.
The reason he set up so close to Ferrari is because he wanted to be a direct competitor, as he bought a ferrari and was very unsatisfied and knew he could do better and set out to put ferrari out of buisness. Although unsuccsessful so far in putting ferrari out of buisness he has been extreemely succsessful in taking a large chunk of the super car market, also ugely cotributing to the italian economy up to the point of Audi buying over the company.
Although still produced in the same region of italy, Lamborghini now has its buisness headquaters in germany along side the Audi's main buildings.

Ferrari
Ferrari is an Italian luxury sports manufacturer based in Marenello, Italy. Founded by Enzo Ferrari in 1928 as Scudaria Ferrari.Maranello is a town in the region of Emilia-Romagnai in northern Italy, 18 km from Modena, with a population of 16621. Modena just happens to be the name of one of Ferrari's most popular cars in the last decade.
